Ulster Quad/Sidecar Championship R1 – Tinkerhill 26 Mar 2022

Quad Racing Ireland promoted the first championship round “double header” for the MRA Ulster and MCUI Irish Quad and Sidecar Championships. Another sunny day and no need for the wet gear today, although it may have given some protection from the mud and dust. As the day progressed the course moved from near perfect conditions to a dust bowl by lunchtime. Thankfully they got some water down to improve the safety for the rides who were not at the front of the pack.

Unfortunately, there was some issues with timing and they had to revert back to a more manual process which caused some minor delays. Given the very tight schedule they finally had to cut one round of races to complete the event on time, but this didn’t affect the competitive nature of racing in all categories. Thanks to all the organisers, marshals and medical staff for a great day. The weather was great and the racing very competitive. The track was very dusty in places which gave a great backdrop to some of the images.

The following are a small selection of my photos from the day, please feel free to tag and share. If I missed anyone just message me to see if I have shots of a particular driver. I am also happy for you to use these low resolution, watermarked versions of the images, but if you would like to get a high-resolution version or prints just drop me a message and I’ll do you a very good deal!!
