With an unpredictable weather forecast for this morning I really was in two minds whether to pull up the duvet or venture out to the Sporting Trails event at Whiteman’s Mountain. In the end the draw to watch and take photos at a motor event won out. When Brian Carey and myself arrived up at the venue and made ourselves known to the organisers and were made very welcome.
For the first few stages the weather held up, but then the heaven’s opened making photography a real chore, trying to keep the lens free of rain and the camera as dry as possible, but if we thought it was bad for us I can only image how difficult the drivers were finding it. As lunch approached it all changed again and the sun graced us again. The course, drivers and photographers started to dry out and we could get back to what we do best.
