Round 5 – Ulster Kart Championships

A very eventful days racing at Nutts Corner today and not as many photographs taken as usual. We hope that all who were injured have a speedy and full recover and out racing again soon. It was not really the way the 125 Superkarts guys would have hoped the season would have ended, but a big thanks to all the officials, marshals, and safety staff who managed to get through the program in difficult conditions.

A big well done to Gary Turkington for not only winning the max final but also the Gary Ireland Race. I Know how determined you where to win it again, and very fitting on the 25th anniversary. Thanks to Stephanie for coming to present her brothers trophy, as ever its lovely to see you. Pass on our best regards to your mum and dad from everyone at UKC.

Well, done to all the officials, marshals and safety staff who fought against the conditions to ensure they provided a safe environment during the racing. Thanks to all the competitors, crew and family who turn out spectacular karts’ week after week and not forgetting the Sponsors WJ Blair who without their support there would be no racing.

And the best news to finish with is that Jack Irvine & Jonathan Bell both escaped a huge shunt with very minor injuries and young Stevie Montgomery has a broken collar bone as the result of his crash. Heel fast lads.
